- First inspect visible issues such as a slipping knot, clamp marks, or damaged grommets.
- Measure repeatedly at the same central location and compare the result with the baseline from the fresh string job.
- If the ball responds abnormally or strings move excessively, ask a stringer to inspect the stringing pattern and condition.
