Saved items and preferences stay in this browser by default. There is no automatic sync or notification. Manual account sync is a separate choice.

Account saves

Use Google to move saved lists between devices. This does not link or merge app or community accounts. Signing in alone does not read or upload saved items.

Sync is manual. After adding or removing saves, review and apply again to share changes with another device. Opened-article history and reading preferences are not uploaded.

Articles you opened

Optional and off by default. Article IDs, update versions and opening times stay in this browser to identify new or changed stories. No history is sent to a server.

Up to 500 articles. This records opening a visible page, not reading it. Language editions share an article version. Turning off also erases history; saved items stay unchanged.
