Mika Brunold defeated Matteo Martineau 2-6, 7-6(5), 6-1 in the Roanne final on October 18, 2026. Martineau led by a set and 5-4 in the second-set tiebreak, leaving him two points from his first Challenger title.
Brunold took that tiebreak 7-5 and the deciding set 6-1. Martineau suffered his fifth Challenger final defeat; in Roanne he had also been runner-up in 2024 and a semifinalist in 2025.

Brunold’s week included a 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 second-round win over second seed Benjamin Bonzi. He then won two tiebreaks against fellow Swiss Jerome Kym in the semifinals, 7-6(2), 7-6(3).
In September, Brunold came through qualifying to win his first Challenger title in Tulln, beating Joao Lucas Reis Da Silva 6-4, 6-3 in the final. Roanne added a second title a month later.
