Iga Swiatek beat lucky loser Ashlyn Krueger 6–1, 6–4 in Wuhan on October 15 for her 150th WTA 1000 win. WTA recorded the milestone in 187 matches, the fewest among the seven players to reach it since the category began in 2009.

Her service games carried more pressure than the score suggests: she saved seven of eight break points. Krueger led the winner count 16–9 but made 46 unforced errors, nineteen more than Swiatek.

The result gave Swiatek 41 tour-level wins in 2026, a seventh WTA 1000 quarterfinal that season and a 32nd overall. Her record against lucky losers reached 9–0, eight victories coming in straight sets.

The quarterfinal paired her with Ann Li, who had beaten Aryna Sabalenka. Li won their previous Madrid meeting when Swiatek retired during the match.
