Luca Van Assche won his first ATP Tour title after rebuilding his advantage in the deciding set. On July 26, 2026, he defeated fourth seed Alexander Blockx 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 in a two-hour, 25-minute Estoril final.
His 3-0 lead in the decider contained two breaks. That advantage narrowed, and he was broken while serving for the title at 5-4. Van Assche broke back immediately and completed the match at his second opportunity to serve it out.

His week had begun with a three-hour, 27-minute match against Frederico Silva, described by the organisers as the event’s longest. He also earned his first top-20 win during the tournament by defeating top seed Andrey Rublev.
Van Assche became the event’s eleventh different singles champion in eleven editions. He was the second French winner after Richard Gasquet at the inaugural 2015 edition, on the same day that compatriots Droguet and Jacquet won doubles.
