Novak Djokovic is returning to Basel after 15 years. The organiser’s October 16, 2026 announcement and his official site’s October 17 report confirm a wild card. His site gives the tournament dates as October 26-November 1.

All three previous visits ended in the last four or better: he beat Roger Federer in the 2009 final, finished runner-up in 2010 and reached the 2011 semifinals.

This is his fourth appearance at the indoor ATP 500. The organiser’s announcement lists 102 career tour titles, including his recent Beijing victory.

Djokovic’s official report identifies ranking points and a place at the season-ending event in Turin as objectives. The wild card adds Basel to that late-season pursuit.
