David Goffin’s planned farewell in Brussels included both singles and doubles. The European Open’s September 22, 2026 announcement awarded him a main-draw singles wildcard and a doubles wildcard alongside Raphaël Collignon.

The full tournament period was October 17–25 at Brussels Expo. The same announcement said Goffin intended to end his professional career at the home event.

The final weekend also involved a venue change within the complex. From Friday, play was to move from Palais 12 to a newly built Centre Court in Palais 5, giving visitors different hall destinations across the week.

The announcement scheduled Zizou Bergs for Belgian Day on October 20. Its Belgian line-up also included recent US Open quarterfinalist Alexander Blockx and Collignon, a semifinalist at the previous edition.
