NXT Control 16 is a multifilament string containing polyester. Wilson’s official specifications, checked October 19, 2026, list a 1.32 mm diameter, 16 gauge and the NXT product family.
The manufacturer describes polyester and nylon microfibres combined in a polyurethane matrix. The blend is within a single string, a separate detail from ordering two different products for the mains and crosses.
Wilson associates the polyester component with feel and control and the nylon component with comfort. Those are the manufacturer’s design descriptions; a personal comparison record should also identify the racquet and reference tension used.
On a restringing order, add Control 16 and 1.32 mm to the NXT family name. The official page lists model RZ94190 and natural-colour SKU WRZ941900, providing specific identifiers for distinguishing it from standard NXT or another gauge.
