Both co-poly, both 1.23 mm: WASABI PRO pairs square mains with round crosses

Toroline’s official pairing, checked October 19, 2026, uses neon-green WASABI mains and neon-blue WASABI X crosses: matching material and gauge, different profiles and assigned directions.

WASABI PRO HYBRID combines two co-poly strings. Toroline’s official configuration, checked October 19, 2026, uses 1.23 mm / 17 gauge for both directions, varying profile and surface role within the same material category.

The designated main is square-profile WASABI in neon green. The cross is round-profile WASABI X in neon blue. Recording product, colour and installation direction together makes the intended pairing clear on an order.

Toroline says the slick coating on WASABI X is designed to help the mains move and return. The standalone WASABI X page also emphasizes development for cross-string use and a round, low-friction surface.

The standalone WASABI X pack is listed as two half sets of approximately 6.7 m each. When choosing between the PRO pairing and X alone, check whether WASABI for the mains is included and what length is available for each direction; two pieces are not two complete restringing jobs.
