Game Changer and Tour Sniper differ in profile and gauge options within the Grapplesnake range. Official pages checked October 19, 2026 describe square polyester Game Changer at 1.20 mm and pentagonal Tour Sniper at 1.25 or 1.30 mm.
Game Changer carries a manufacturer’s gauge note: standard measurement yields 1.20 mm, but the company compares its square profile and edges more closely with a round 16-gauge string. Record both 1.20 mm and the square shape when ordering.
Tour Sniper is described as supplied partially pre-stretched. Grapplesnake presents that treatment as intended to reduce initial tension loss and describes the profile as having less-sharp edges than its square offerings.
Both sets are listed at 12 m. Game Changer’s instructions note that clamp feel can vary with the orientation of the square profile. Tell the stringer the product and shape in advance, and keep gauge, tension and installation date together in your comparison record.
